Darjeeling
Darjeeling means 'Region of the Thunderbolt' and is known as the Queen of Hill Stations. It is surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Himalayas and Buddhist Monasteries.
In Darjeeling, Tiger Hills is the highest peak and it offers a splendid view of the Kanchenjunga and Mt. Everest. Even mount Kanchenjunga is very close to this place. Due to the proximity with three international borders, Darjeeling is strategically a very important place.
It is widely known as the visitor’s paradise and has a popular toy train. It provides an opportunity to enjoy nature and see beautiful waterfalls, streams, deep green valleys, mountain passes, tea gardens and tunnels.
