Almora 

Almora in the shape of a horseshoe is one of the most popular hill stations of Uttaranchal. Two important rivers, Kaushik (Koshi) and Shalmali (Suyal) flow near the town.  

Almora is surrounded by four hill ranges with temples. The temples have deities of Banari Devi, Kasar Devi, Sayahi Devi and Sun god.  

It has a wonderful scenic beauty with snow-clad peaks of Himalayas and blue and green ridges. There is Chitai Temple which is dedicated to Lord Golu.

The people from Kumau hang little bells in this temple once their wishes are fulfilled. Another popular temple is Nanda Devi Temple which is 1000 years old.  

The Deer Park, the Bright End Corner and the Kasar Devi Temple are the other attractions of the place.
